No technical knowledge is required anymore for posting error logs for your XBMC configuration. There has recently been a program addon created that simplifies the process of posting log files in order to facilitate troubleshooting.
POSTING XBMC ERROR LOGS THE EASY WAY
Step 1: Launch XBMC, navigate to the “PROGRAMS” menu.
Step 2: Select the “Get More” menu option.
Step 3: Click the “XBMC Log Uploader” item.
Step 4: Choose the “Install” button on the lower left side.
Step 5: You’ll now be able to choose “XBMC Log Uploader” from the “PROGRAMS” menu.
Step 6: The first time you use it, you can optionally choose to configure it to send copies of logs to your email account, then press the “OK” button.
Step 7: You’ll now be prompted to upload the “xbmc.log” file.
Step 8: You’ll now have the web link where you can view the log displayed on screen.
Step 9: You’ll now be prompted to upload the “crash.log” file.
Step 10: You’ll now be displayed the web link where you can view the log.
