There are simple solutions to pretty much any problem having to do with running XBMC on the Apple TV. Take a few seconds to read what we recommend and you’ll relieve future aggravation by knowing what to do.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE FOR APPLE TV RUNNING XBMC
Video Freezing – Constant Buffering or Freezing
Step 1: Unplug your Modem and Router from their Electrical Source. Should any lights remain illuminated, remove battery from device. Leave unplugged for 15 Minutes.
Step 2: After 15 Minutes has passed, replug electricity to the Modem and then to the Router. Wait a minute and then verify that your Internet is working by visiting your favourite web site from you computer.
Step 3: Press and Hold both the “MENU” and “DOWN” button on the Remote Control (at the same time) for 30 Seconds, then release.
Step 4: Wait for your Apple TV to reboot. If you don’t see the “Movies” menu, it means that you need to reconfigure your internet settings.
TIP: Prioritize the use of Sockshare and Putlocker links!
TIP 2: From the Native Apple TV Main Menu, go to “Settings” -> “Audio & Video” and Change the “Output” to the “16 bit” setting.
From the XBMC Main Menu, go to “SYSTEM” -> “Settings” -> “System” -> “Audio Output” then Change “Audio Output” to the “Optical/Coax” setting.

Step 5: Hold the “MENU” button again for 3 Seconds, this type clicking the “Force refresh” option.
TIP: Still getting errors? Go into the Add-on Settings for the specific addon and Disable Metadata, this should correct the situation. You can quickly launch Add-on Settings under Video Addons from the main menu, by highlighting the addon name, then holding the “MENU” button for 3 Seconds. If you’re still having problems, “Uninstall” then “Reinstall” the specific addon to see if that helps. Alternatively, you can also try using the “Rollback” function within the settings for the addon.
