This helped me fix a problem restoring my ATV2 and then re-installing XMC finally!

Feeling pretty accomplished right now! :)

    Thanks so much!

  2. sahmen says:

Help! My NitoTv installer and my XBMC wizard configuration hub application are both frozen in the “Choose Apple TV” position, and won’t budge or even detect new Apple TVS. I have deleted and reinstalled both of the applications and their installers to no avail… I have even deleted their “saved state” fiolders from the “Saved State” folders on my mac, but when I reboot the newly installed versions, they both go back to the frozen state and can’t auto detect any new apple tvs.

It all started when I mistakenly clicked “install Nito on Apple TV 2″ before verifying that the ip address indicated on bottom left hand corner on the Nito installer matched the address of the new target Apple TV 2 upon which I was attempting to install NItoTV. Actually, there was no match because the Nito application opened with the IP address of the Previous Apple TV I had configured. I just forgot to go through the “choose Apple TV” cycle in order to get the new Target Apple TV selected. That is when the Nito installer went into the “Freeze-like” state. The installer now opens and closes upon command, but it does not respond to the “choose Apple TV” command, and won’t detect any new apple tvs on the network. Infact all the commands on the application are sort of “greyed” out and unresponsive to any clicking. The surprising part is that the XBMC configuration wizard on my mac also seems to have gone into the same state, and won’t detect or select any new Apple TVs even though the accidental click happened on the NitoTv installer at a moment when the Configuration wizard wasn’t even open. These states sound like something that could be undone with a little know-how and, maybe, a couple of clicks, but I’m at my wit’s end trying without succeeding and need help to find solutions. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Someone please help! I’ve done everything correctly up until step 17, but then xbmc doesn’t show up on my apple tv. It’s not there. I’ve done everything it says. I have an apple tv 2, what going wrong?

    • grantmac18 says:

Same issue, I’ve tried just about everything: apt-get remove, apt-get update, wget, rejailbreak. Nothing works, I’ve read that it could be a Cydia issue seeing as they’re still dealing with the 6.1.1 overstack. So, it could resolve itself in a couple days; if not it’s back on down to 4.4.4.

  11. eldiablo76 says:

So the problem I’m having is when I try to install or push XBMCHub to my Apple TV2 it asks me for a password. I’ve never put a password onto any of my systems, so how do I fix this?

  12. debbiec says:
