It's a line in your advandsettings.xml file if you have one. If it is set to 0 it means unlimited so XBMC can take all your ram or flash just for buffering a movie, it is therefore technically wrong to set it without any boundaries because as you can image it will just take and take without limit.
The advancedsettings.xml should be in /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/userdata all you need to do is transfer it to a pc open it with notepad or wordpad and delete the following line:
Save the file and then copy the file back to the atv2 overwriting the old one.Code:<cachemembuffersize>0</cachemembuffersize>
* If there is no advancedsettings.xml in the above folder you are fine.

There are none.. Check how much free space you have on your hard drive where XBMC is installed. And make sure your swap file is turned on. Also check how much ram is available within XBMC.
