since I'm already using imdb trailers, I'm keeping it but adding youtube as well.
have you had a chance too look at what I have so far?
I just noticed IMDB old movies got very very bad quality trailer videos. I also looked if some Steven Spielberg movies got trailers. And more often than I expected. Older movies don't have trailers. That's why right now I think, that youtube is better.
Perhaps an option is to add both IMDB and Youtube trailers? Or only use Youtube? Or look into other trailers site?
I should have look at IMDB trailers before requesting/suggesting it. I apologized for this mistake. Should have known this. Because CouchPotato isn't using that. And the xbmc movie information scrapers I have used. Also don't have IMDB trailers as an option.

Send a pm to you.
I would check out some of the Xbmc trailers addons. Chances are you could call them with something like plugin://plugin.video.trailers/?mode=x& title=y
@Bstrdsmkr That's also a way to do this. And Jools can benefit of somebody else work. But if you did it like that. Users also need to install those trailers plugin ? I feel this should not be necessary. It would better if the trailer sites are listed on script.module.urlresolver. That's the way to go in the future in my opinion.
script.module.urlresolver - information -

The addon can be set to require the trailer addon and it'll download and install automatically.
UrlResolver is meant for resolving actual video content. Trailers are more the domain of metahandlers (which already returns trailers)
This is just hypothetically talk. Because from my understanding Jools already had found a way to show trailers.
But if it was made that way Bstrdsmkr. When installing CouchPotato add-on. The user is forced to install a video plugin trailer(s). But what if the user doesn't want to list that plugin trailer(s) on video add-ons? That way my point. Therefore I am not a fan of that approuch on any add-on.
wow tikkiew.
what is your background? You are one of the pickiest users I have come across. NOT IN A BAD WAY. I simply have read all of your posts about how XBMC should work, how addon's should work, etc. What do you do for a career? Are you in software engineering of some sort of GUI development?

NEED HELPFUL VIDEOS? YouTube Channel
there have been reports about running this addon, forcing me to announce it prematurely, as I need
more testers.
it's in my repo, or http://www.cyco.se/xbmc/repo/plugin....tato-0.1.1.zip
does it run at all? any error messsages in the logs?
of course, it needs a couch potato server to make any sense, but the addon should at least run.
