WHAT IS THIS ADDON ?

Developer ruuk from xbmc.org has created Forum Browser.
With the Forum Browser addon, from within XBMC you can browse many forums.
Some of the forums include our very own XBMCHUB.com as well as XBMC.org, XBMC4XBOX & Boxee to name a few.
You can add any of the thousands of Tapatalk & Forumrunner enabled forums.
You can log into your forum accounts, & view forums, threads, posts, subscriptions & see all your private messages.
Starting threads, posting replies, deleting posts (Some forums), quoting posts & sending PM's is a breeze, with this easy to use addon.
As well as viewing images & Youtube/Vimeo video links, you can copy & paste image & Youtube/Vimeo video links from one forum to another.
The ability to post forum links & download from links containing for example .zip files & images is included.
Seeing who's online, and the use of smiley faces is an important part of a good forum, and is included in forum browser as well.
You can also change the colour of the forum borders to be in line with the actual website.
Information such as avatars, number of posts & join date is displayed clearly for each user.
Be sure to check out the help section, inside Forum Browser which is accessible, at every step of the way.
There is an online database which is accessible from within forum browser, this is a user genarated list
so see if your favourite forum is in the list, if not just add it & everyone can also select it.
All the above can be done from your comfy armchair using your remote or keyboard.

INSTALLATION & DEPENDENCIES

ruuk's repository - http://ruuks-repo.googlecode.com/fil...tory-1.0.0.zip - here you will find the latest version of Forum Browser.
Install repository via zip
Installing the repository will ensure you get any future updates automatically

Web Viewer - which is an integral part of Forum Browser. Web Viewer is a linear text web browser.
It is linear because it doesn't render pages, it filters them and displays text in the order it is found in the original HTML.
This will install automatically
What it does - You can follow links, fill out forms, view images, Stream video/audio links.

Share Social - This is also in ruuk's repo, when share social is installed this will give you clipboard functionality, so you can copy & paste links & images - this is a manual install by yourself

When you first run Forum Browser, you will be prompted to install a font & keyboard update, I would recommend you do this, the update will make Forum Browser look uniform in all skins as each skin uses different fonts.

I have been using this like a freak! All my skin testing and such... this thing is perfect for playing on my set up late at night.

Im going to give this plugin a go, its a shame it cant get pushed by xbmc.

Oh, it is. We just had a fan request a spot for it here, and the dev agreed. Still a great little tool though. That said, I have not been able to get our new forum to show up, only the old ARCHIVED forum.

It should be working now. I just had to re-add the forum to get it updated. I'm posting from FB now.
