My personal opinion of the B Box MX2 is junk, I had two of them, they both lasted about a week each, and after the 2nd one quit, I went back to the Raspberry Pi, which runs perfect!

I was about to order a G Box Midnight MX2 today but since the above reply I am having second thoughts.

Are there any other users of this box on this forum that could give more advice on this box or could you recommend another box that will be more suitable to run XBMC?? I am looking to order today or tomorrow at the latest so any advice will be much appreciated.

Actually I recently pulled mine out of the closet after 10 months and started off with a full update and I have changed my mind about this box. It really works great and I am quite impressed with it now. The newest version is 1.16 I believe. use the matricom web site to follow their instructions, even if you brick the device they have a solution. Use the ota updater on all apps and you should be fine. No, the mx2 midnight is a good box, It has my complete seal of approval, go ahead and buy one if you were going to.

A few people have recommended the Ouya to me but others have said that it is a nightmare to set up and to navigate around. I am not the most technically minded so the easier the better but I want a good box that will run XBMC without any problems and will last the test of time.

Like I have said earlier, I am looking to order a box today so any more guidance will be gratefully received.

Gbox works good with a wireless keyboard with touchpad like the Logitech k400. Took like a week to setup though.

I ordered my GBOX Midnight MX2 from GBox Canada and it was plugin and go. I am new to all of this but found this box to be fairly easy to use. Watched a couple tutorials on youtube and asked some questions on this forum and am very comfortable with it now. Bought 2 for myself and my dad also has 2 and haven't had any problems at all. Best thing I bought for it was a wireless mouse, works way better than using the remote. There is still LOTS of things I don't know how to do or am even aware of being able to do on this thing, but I have cancelled my satellite subscription so it has been well worth it for me!

Thank you for your guidance in helping me make a decision as to what box to buy. I am now going to wait until the weekend to order one and it will definitely be either G Box Midnight MX2 (for ease of use) or a Ouya as recommended??
