    usTVnow addon.py How to?

I am really new to this kinda stuff but really want to learn. I recently updated my apple TV2 to frodo and now the usTVnow addon does not work. Reading on this fourm I see that there is a fix for it by correcting line 39 of the addon.py. My newbi question of the day is what is addon.py and how do I do this. I mean I have seen this...

"Hi. This looks like the same problem I had on ATV2. Same line of code is failing at least.

Try this. But please be sure to backup the file before you make changes, just in case.

To fix the problem, open the Addon.py file

    Located at ~/xbmc/addons/plugin.video.ustvnow/resources/lib/Addon.py

on line 39, you will see xbmc.output, change it to xbmc.log"

But I have the slightest clue of how to locate this....~/xbmc/addons/plugin.video.ustvnow/resources/lib/Addon.py

Is this something I have to do on the computer or directly from the apple Tv2. I know thius might sound redicolus but I have no clue. Please help. Id like to get usTVnow working again.

You'll need to do this from your computer.

    Download Cyberduck here: http://cyberduck.ch/
There are other programs like Cyberduck you can use, depending on your OS, but Cyberduck is cross platform so the instructions work for both Windows and Mac.
Record the IP address of your ATV2. You can find that from the Apple menu, or from in XBMC\System Info.
Leave your ATV2 at the Apple menu with XBMC closed.
    On your computer, launch Cyberduck.
    Click on Open Connection.
Select SFTP(SSH File Transfer Protocol) from the drop-down menu.
Enter the IP of your ATV2 in the server field.
    Username: root
    Password: alpine
    Click Connect.

Now you should be connected to your ATV2.
    Navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/addons/plugin.video.ustvnow/resources/lib/
Find the addon.py file in that folder.
Drag it to the desktop. (I suggest saving a backup copy of the addon.py file at this point.)
Open the addon.py file on the desktop with a text editor.
Find line 39, and make the appropriate changes. Don't change anything else.
    Save it.
Drag it from the desktop back to the folder on the ATV2.
Overwrite when it asks you to.
Now launch XBMC and test it.

    Hope that helps.

I can confirm that the addon we have pre-edited on our Fusion Installer is working on all hardware. Issues are either that you haven't logged in or inter et connection.

Heya, I am also trying to learn. I have cyberduck on my comp, but connection always fails when I try to log into the SSH FTP. I use Windows 7. Any tips for me? I'm having the same issue. I have the ustvnow addon from fusion, and I have tried the default uid/pwd in there when I get it and my own, and it always says can't find the next item. Any help would be mondo-appreciated.
