    Navi X updated to 3.7.7

    Hey all

Just thought I let everyone know that Navi-X has been updated to 3.7.7 and it seems to load up alot faster on my atv2
Dunno if it's because of less strain on the server or what but so far it runs great

Yes I agree. I updated last night (ironically it was my first time in Navi X in ages) and now the menu's load quite a bit faster for me as well on my pi. I will continue to test it out.

I think it needs some work. I reverted to 3.7.6 Experienced a few issues I haven t had before and its not that much faster. Its hard to benchmark navi-x since it is always so congested.

    Release Notes - Changes Navi-X 3.7.7

    - Navi-X skin update. Several menus and icons updated.

    - Smart caching support. Pages are cached inside the Navi-X app. Pages expire and are reloaded after a calculated time. The expire time is based on the page change frequency. Pages that change less frequent are cached for longer period of time. Smart caching is enabled by default but can be disabled from the context menu.

    - Navi-X now remembers the view selection in the Browse history, favorites and download pages. E.g. if thumbnails view is selected in the favorite page then thumbnail view is automatically selected next time the page is opened.

    - reorganized the home page. Less icons, default thumbnails view.
    - Added support for playback via XBMC PAPlager.

    - Several minor bug fixes and improvements.

I seem to be stuck in "thumbnail" view for all the screens. I prefer list, but it reverts back to thumbnail every time I leave a screen. I have uninstalled, deleted my settings folder from AppData, and reinstalled, same problem.

Anyone else seeing this with 3.7.7?

First thing I noticed as all my favourites have gone. It looks like the folder structure has changed with 3.7.7 as well so if you have a backup of Navi-x (you are all taking regular backups right?) then you can restore all of your old favourites.

Navi-x favourites are stored in the file favorites.plx

On the Raspberry PI This was previously stored here:

    /storage/.xbmc/addons/Navi-X

but under the new structure it now needs to be in here:

    /storage/.xbmc/addons/script.navi-x

Apart from that I have had a couple of lockups when navigating to the next page >>>>> but this may be this particular RPI and I need to check this on other machines first be to clear.

It looks much slicker and I like the new views.
