General Questions and Help

IceLibrary is similair to the Icefilms.info addon made by anarchintosh in the way that it is used to launch movies and TV shows found on the streaming site http://www.icefilms.info. The difference between this plugin and the one made by anarchintosh is that IceLibrary lets you import the movies and TV shows to XBMC video library.

1. Take a look at the latest messages in the IceLibrary (release) post as I just answered it there.
2. Where did you read about this 1.2.4 version the lastest one is v1.0.0 again look in the release post.

Hi Tuxen

Long story but the gist is that I messed up.
Installed icelibrary on atv2 and updated movies (ALL icefilms) after 30 hrs stopped it and uninstalled icelibrary as I had only 400mb left of storage, went to file manager and removed Movies(Icefilms) and this was taking an age so I interupted with the intention of starting the removal later.
When I went back to do it, the source was gone but Iam still really low on disk space. Any idea of how I go If I goi into 'Movies', tonnes of the icelibrary stuff is still there, do I need to remove these one by one? Or can I use winscp etc?

EDIT:
Ok, just messed about and found that the folder called 'Thumbnails' in the userdata folder is over 4GB!!!
Can I delete the wholefolder? willin reproduce itself and then I can just update my Library again? Can I delete certain subfolders?

Anyone?

EDIT 2:
In the thunbnails folder ther are subfolders 0-9 and a-f, these all contained around 80 .jpg files and I deleted them all. There are 3 more folders in there 'Generated' 'Music' and 'Video'.
The first 2 are really small but the video one is over 600mb.....the video folder again has subfolders 0-9 and a-f and they are all full of .tbn files...I am a little reluctant to delete these...ayone know if it's safe to delete them?

Look here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=591 that will remove the icelibrary folders and the metadata completely.
The official version of icelibrary also only supports 2shared links which I think is about to die out, look at the unofficial version and remember to read the readme first. It supports only Eden beta 3!

I have uninstalled xbmc and reinstalled it. I uninstalled some plugins and their repos the reinstalled the repos and the plugins. But still no thumbnails for any plugin!!!
Any idea how to fix?

If you are already down that path I suggest you uninstall XBMC completely and install a fresh Eden beta 3 as I do not know what went wrong. When you uninstall it will ask if it should delete the profile folder say yes BUT notice the path and check afterwards if there are any leftovers that did not get deleted from that path.

If you are on an atv2 make sure this path: /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/ does not exist anymore before installing again. (the XBMC folder needs to be gone)

For Windows 7 it's: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\

Yeah, that thumbnails folder is what got you. That's where XBMC stores it's thumbnails for everything. Like tuxen said, you'll need to scrub it from your system and reinstall. If you're using a remote/shared database, you'll need to blow that away too.

Thanks lads. Kinda glad I had to start over again. I've been doing a lot of experimenting and it's good to have a fresh install now. Only issue I'm having is that I'm now getting cache full message which I find strange since I haven't done anything on it yet. I'll try clearing out the cache so.

Thanks again.

EDIT
Think the cache full issue was because I hadn't reapplied the advanced settings xml.

would that be the reason?

There are 2 types of cache full message, one pertains to XBMC and only happens during playback after a period of buffering, the other pertains to iOS. I think there's a solution in the ATV section for the second, the first is just a fact of life and is hardware limited

I'm going mad and I'm not entirely sure what it is that I'm doing wrong.

Movies have been scraped and added to my library however I can't seem to get any movie information downloaded. I had no problem getting my selected TV shows to come up though. I've tried using other add-ons besides tmdb to see if that was the issue but I can't get info from rottentomatoes or imdb either.

Where am I going wrong and what do I need to look into to resolve my problem? HELP!
